Count your blessings - January 2017

  1. Chap stick on hurt lips
  2. Snowfall on days that we could avoid driving
  3. A lot of snow to play in and children that clearly enjoy it
  4. Construction works that keep going without too many issues so far and without too much disruption in our lives
  5. Affordable and rather flexible city services to take care of sick children at your home
  6. Coffee, lots of coffee...and paracetemol on difficult days
  7. Professional opportunities that come by
  8. Receiving honest feedback in an open dialogue
  9. People that speak out, protest and let their voice hear when political propaganda spreads hateful stereotypes
  10. A regional medical weekend duty center that is only 2kms from your door
  11. Social security system in Belgium that makes doctor's visits accessible and cheap (and on top of that additional insurance from work that pays back the remaining difference)
  12.  Newly created spaces
  13. 2 little boys playing together on the floor with some car toys

This is a monthly list of simple things in my life that make me happy or that make me smile.
As the world often seems full of negativity and disaster, I want to pay attention to these small things that make me happy in my daily life and be greatful for them. You can find all of them via this link
