We keep on turning #wedraaiendoor: Pop in Wonderland - Grow a baby

Each Tuesday and Thursday Anne from Satur9's World and myself, play a musical pingpong game where we choose a new music song based on each other's previous choice by association of a name, style, lyric, style, location or whatever crosses in our mind. We never know what the next song will be chosen and are forced to explore beyond our comfort zone due to each other's choices.

Ha Anne posted a Belgian post last Tuesday. I love that :), even though I am not too familiar with Rick Tubbax's oeuvre.  So after "Bojangle Plays tonight", I immediately thought of The lion sleeps tonight.

But I wanted to stick with Belgian music so I looked up Rick Tubbax and searched other famous people from Boechout.  Quite some to choose from

• Hugo Mathijsen

But then I chose someone who seems to be forgotten in the media by now but who had quite a big hit that made me happy as a teenager. She had Rick Tubbax as manager.  I'm sure Anne would have never come up with Pop in Wonderland but sometimes we just need some pop, colours, Popsicles, bubbles and smiles.
