As I said, I'm going to have to spend a summer in Belgium some time!

@lilacspecs: I've never been to the Lokerse Feesten but I never mis the Gentse Feesten. This year I have already a lot of other things on my agenda though those weekends but I think I should be able to squeeze in the 19th.
yes you won't be able to avoid it...but it's too much fun to avoid it. I really like the atmosphere. There's so much to do: guided walks, expositions, street theatre etc...don't only walk around late at night from stage to stage as that will be very crowded. The true atmosphere is a bit earlier at night.
There is not much culture around here. I swear there are days that I expect to see the good ol banjo and washboard band twanging out on a corner ....
