Visit Antibes

The best part of Juan-Les-Pins is the fact that it's part of the city of Antibes.  And Antibes has the best of what France can offer:  a fortified Vauban town bathing in the sun at the Côte d'Azur, with impressive walls and towers, a huge yachting port,   a daily Mediterranean market in town and a Picasso museum.  What's not to love???

Many yachts on anchor at the sea

A remake of a picture dating from 2018 on the ramparts

Two fisherladies watching each other from one side to the other

At the port with view on the bay of Nice and the famous sculpture "Le Nomade" at the end of the port walls

We looked it up but the "moderate" yacht (compared to what is visible there in the more exclusive sides of the port) of our former king Albert II has been sold in the previous years and is no longer residing here.

Inside the old city

I love this market!!

Apparently we missed a shopping and ice-cream loving Kylie Minogue by 2 days as she was strolling in Antibes just before us.

At the edge of the old town is the Albert Ier square with a statue of our Belgian king.  This was after Vichy the 2nd location in Southern France where we saw a sculpture dedicated to one of our former kings.  I found that remarkable.
