Visiting Leuven's botanical garden , de Kruidtuin

Two weekends ago my friend came over to Leuven for a visit.  Unfortunately the nice weather of Saturday was gone and we were treated with a grey humid cold day.  The temperatures were higher than the feeling would assume.   After I had been freezing at the market, I was glad I took along my gloves for the afternoon. 

We decided to head downtown and visit the botanical garden that she had not seen yet.  We were a few weeks late for the beauty of the crocusses but now we came to look for the tulips and fruit tree blossoms.  It's always a nice place to visit. 

And in the mean time we could chat and catch-up.  And after that, we'd warm up at a coffee downtown before we headed home for dinner.
