Count your blessings - August 2024

1.  Finishing off work before vacation (even if that's on a Saturday morning)
2. A little pool that gets nice temperatures and is therefore nice to use even at moderate summer temperatures
3. Mini-golf with the boys
4. Spotting a beaver in Belgium
5. Harvesting tomatoes in our own garden
6. Harvesting even much more fresh vegetables at the farm
7. Spotting 2 kittens at the farm
8. Observing the birth of a calf live in the field
9. Watching Belgians win medals at the Olympics
10. Kabouter joining me on some of my "start-to-run" exercises
11. Eating paella with friends
12. A library shack at the beach
13. Cooling off in the sea on a hot day
14. Hours of lazy time at the beach
15. Good airco that give nights under a duvet when it's hot
16. The coastal tram enabling us to go to other coastal cities easily
17. 2 friends that come over at the coast to spend time with us
18. The boys get to see their first fireworks
19. Observing the boys for a day in the swimming pool of Center Parcs with some friends
20. A gorgeous walk in the boglands at the high Fens with my mother and another one 
21. Having a drink at a terrace after a good walk, enjoying the sun & the view & the drinks
22. Replacing the worn out pillows in our sofa with nice colorful new ones
23. A lazy afternoon with drinks and appetizers with the neighbours
24. Reuniting a trapped cat in a neighbourhood garden with the people posting missing cat messages online
25. Reading so much and seeing Jan getting a reading addiction too
26. Outside meals
27. Wine and bubbles
28. Sitting with a cup of coffee in pyjama's on the terrace with view on the cows in the morning sun

This is a monthly list of simple things in my life that make me happy or that make me smile.
