The renewed school officially opened

Since this school year, after 4 years of demolition and reconstruction works, the new school building with 6 classes, a library, a STEM class, meeting rooms and a polyvalent hall is finally finished. At the start of the school year there was still a lot of carpenting and painting and other interior finishing going on. 
But now at the start of October it was time to have an official opening and a drink 

 

It was lovely weather so we enjoyed drinks and snacks outside with the other parents.
But of course we toured the new building again, guided by our children to discover all little corners we had not seen yet on the first info evening at the start of the year.  It's nice to see they have space now and all the modern comfort, after decades in historic sad old cramped buildings and then 4 years in tents. 

The polyvalent room is polyvalent, so it can be turned in to a gym zone if needed (the big kids still go to external sport halls in the neighbourhood) or to a zone with tables (for lunch or crafts or meetings) or ...

In the mean time I still need to get used again to the extra space that is available again in the large garden where the 4 huge tents used to be.  Part of it will be a small soccer field but part of it gets a new outdoor play construction. 
Aaaah this outdoor space is just fabulous in this school, what a garden.
