Beertje's birthday party

It's Beertje's birthday month and already since the end of 2024 he knew what he wanted as birthday party: he'd go with his friends to "The Schuur van Tuur".  His class had been there on a trip before and he wanted to return. 
We had no clue what it was about but we made a reservation for him and a group of friends, we filled up 3 cars (thanks to another volunteering parent) and drove to Lubbeek to a farm location where the "parking space" field behind the barns was completely filled up and we were guided to a big industrial barn.  

So the barn is literally a big barn filled with toys and straw bales to play in and outside there's more toys and some small animals. Tuur (from "The Schuur van Tuur") is a pony by the way.  Children run around in a big chaos but seemed to have a lot of fun.  So it's a big "farm-themed" indoor playground really but with less regulated security measures, we believe. 

And we were seated at a reserved table amidst many other party tables with some gas heaters,  because it was not so warm inside. We could order drinks and snacks from some old food truck stands that were also in that schuur. Our birthday boy had reserved hot dogs for his friends that were really delicious artisanal sausages.   

Anyhow, we survived the noise and chaos, the kids had fun and I've seen Tuur. But the farm dog that kept coming by but who was not to be fed, was the cutest of the afternoon.
