We keep on turning #wedraaiendoor - Up with People : Up with People

Each Tuesday and Thursday Anne from Satur9's World and myself, play a musical pingpong game where we choose a new music song based on each other's previous choice by association of a name, style, lyric, style, location or whatever crosses in our mind. We never know what the next song will be chosen and are forced to explore beyond our comfort zone due to each other's choices.

Anne puts people in the middle this week.  and I was surfing and got a huge flashback to my teenage years where I was a fan of .... yes, truly...I was a fan of Up With People. We hosted a student once for a few days at our home when the group toured and performed in Deinze but before that I had a pen pal that had invited me when I was 12 to Brussels for a concert of Up With People. and I was hooked.  It was the years after my sister did an exchange in Canada and we had had an Australian host sister living at home.  

So I said that if I wouldn't be able to go on an exchange myself, I'd join Up With People and tour with them. 

Ha, so now I've spent a few hours listening to old albums and it's so ....cringe. Really; But I can sing along so many lyrics. Hahaha.   I'm not surprised they don't tour anymore.  But it was nice to have a bit of nostalgic flashback and to realise not all was better back then.
