Count your blessings - September 2025

  1. Medical services that are on duty and come within the hour when called for my mom...accessible medical services are not a luxury in our country.
  2. The return of good tv programs after summer, such as Thuis - Chantal - ...
  3. Kabouter starting in high school...such a big step which he took with nice positive stress. I felt so proud.
  4. Storks resting on the lighting poles of the highway.
  5. Returning to work more relaxed than I left the months before. Phew.
  6. Good coaching sessions
  7. The fair in Leuven
  8. Doing a little city trip to visit our friends in Maastricht over the weekend
  9. A field of sunflowers on my commute
  10. Another unexpected sunny warm day at the last day of Summer in the east of Belgium...time to maw the lawn, go for a hike and do some night swimming.
  11. Getting to know our neighbour girl better.
  12. Cheering for the boys at a judo tournament with my mom.
  13. Going for a drink with the other judo parents during practice
  14. Medical check-ups that are ok (and the thoroughness of checks in Belgium is at a high level)
  15. The heating that switches on in the car in the morning....the airco that switches on in the car in the afternoon
  16. Gorgeous foggy fields at sunrise
  17. Observing Kabouter in WhatsApp calls with a group of new classmates...Seems like his integration in the new school environment is going well.
  18. Aperol spritz and appetizers
  19. The return of the bulk bar, filled with peanuts, nuts and seeds at work.

This is a monthly list of simple things in my life that make me happy or that make me smile.

As the world often seems full of negativity and disaster, I want to pay attention to these small things that make me happy in my daily life and be grateful for them. You can find all of them via this link
