Wedding time
It had been ages since we had been invited to a wedding. I guess we're out of the age range for many weddings. But more than a year ago we already got a save the date from some friends...wow they sure wanted to ensure we could find a babysit on time. Well done as it's exam time but we got it covered.
And lovely date as it was our own anniversary. So fun to go and feel all the love vibes, bring back own memories etc.
Since the Leuven city hall is under renovation for the coming years, weddings are now performed at pretty cool other locations in the city. Our friends had the luck to be hosted at the Arenberg castle that the city apparently can borrow in the weekends from the university. Wedding party after wedding party arrived in the castle park and it was fun to see that the couples could do a balcony photo shoot.

Civil weddings are still pretty dry and boring though. Still reading out some legal texts as part of the mandatory ceremony. But there were plenty of nobility on the walls to admire. And chairs all around that nobody was allowed to sit on.
In the evening we partied in another historic Leuven location: the old brewery De Hoorn where exactly 100 years ago the first Stella beer was brewn (up to the 80ies).
We toasted among the old brewing equipment and ate and danced for hours (yes we still can!!) underneath.
