A lazy first weekend in Leuven this year

We cocooned at home until very late in pyjama's while riding our trains. In the afternoon I figured we needed some fresh air so I hushed the boys into their clothes and we went for a walk in the city center.

We texted a bit back and forth and met up with our friend from Yab to have a hot chocolate together in the newely opened store. 

Then we headed to the city's New Year's reception at the gothic city hall. The square was full of waiting lines for the free drinks and foods. We didn't really feel to lign up in the cold so limited ourselves to some rides on the child carroussel. 

In the evening we invited ad hoc some neighbours for New Year and a delivered meal.   That was a day well spent, in my opinion.
