Vacation planning

  • One google sheet with 26 columns shared by 14 mothers
  • 11 mails on the day before
  • A dozen text messages in the next morning
  • An alarm clock set on Sunday morning
  • Checking logins once again 15 minutes before and checking the filters to take in the selection
  • Counting down to the time that subscriptions open
  • 2 camps for 2 boys needed: 4 quick clicks on the right places
  • Refreshing the page on minute 1.
  • Waiting listed on minute 2.

I failed the competitive race that summer camp subscriptions have become. It sucks.
Fortunately we have a good accessible playground behind our door where the boys can go to, except for that last summer week...that last week that I didn't succeed to enroll them. They have a camp in the first summer week but that wasn't so important.

Oh well, there's a few more enrollment moments this winter for other options but there isn't much choice yet for Beertje.  After a morning of stressing and cursing I'll wait and see for a bit. We'll figure out what to do that last summer week.

I hate that, fortunately in Ghent there are quite some possibilities and we always could register our girl at school during summer holidays (which she did very often when she was a toddler)
