Monschau

After the unnamed storm, the weather calmed down fortunately but it was still grey, drizzling wet and cold. We hesitated about returning quickly to Leuven or hanging out a bit longer but it wasn't exactly fun weather to be outside too long.
And then we decided to drive to Monschau, the pittoresque little German town just on the other side of the border, to have a stroll and get some lunch there.  My parents had visited with us here in the winter of 2010 when there was loads of snow, so my mother enjoyed revisiting the memories.

We strolled through the quiet streeds of the little town, checked out a few stores although there weren't too many open. Then we quickly settled into a bistro inside to warm up again and enjoy some well-filling German food.
