Crafting drink's coasters or covers with perlerbeads

At the start of this Christmas vacation the children kept them busy with the splendid idea of making some glass covers (with space of a straw) to beat wasps in the summer.  They constructed little circles with perlerbeads that need to get ironed to melt together. 

Beertje had the original idea and made a really colourful one.  Afterwards Kabouter was inspired to craft a "pokéball" coaster that worked out really well as well.
