We keep on turning #wedraaiendoor: The Beatles - Here comes the sun

Each Tuesday and Thursday Anne from Satur9's World  play a musical pingpong game where we choose a new music song based on each other's previous choice by association of a name, style, lyric, style, location or whatever crosses in our mind.  We never know what the next song will be chosen and are forced to explore beyond our comfort zone due to each other's choices.

We started this Christmas week with The Future by the Van Jets...another good Belgian classic that followed Absynth Minded.  I love it. And now it was my duty to find an appropriate Christmas Eve song on an evening that many can't celebrate Christmas as they wish.  But it's Christmas, a holiday of hope. We must look to the future and embrace it and trust that it will be good.

Songs about the future:

  • the future - Leonard Cohen....=> not quite the appropriate lyrics to post on Christmas Eve
  • hope for the future - Paul Mc Cartney
  • New life - Depeche Mode
  • Merry Christmas everyone - Slade
Hmm the latter would seem the perfect song to post tonight and yet I find it a little too lame and jolly dolly given the circumstances for many.

So let's focus on a positive hope for the future:

  • Here comes the sun - The Beatles
  • let it be - The Beatles
  • don't give up - Kate Bush  & Peter Gabriel

Here comes the sun it is...after all we have left Dec 21st behind us, Christmas is also the holiday of the return of light...hence why we must have hope that all will be fine.

I wish you all a Merry Christmas to you and your loved ones!

Take care of one another, be gentle.

Dit nummer behoort tot mijn favoriete nummers ooit.
En is zeker één van mijn favoriete nummers van The Beatles.
Ontroerend, elke keer weer.
