This week it was 5 years ago that we welcomed Beertje in our arms. Time flies and I need to realise that my babies grow up. I always spend a lot of time on such days digesting old nostalgic pictures. But Beertje was ready for cake, crowns, presents and parties.

We had profited from last weeks nice weather predictions to last organize a last minute playground birthday party. Fortunately the agenda's from his friend's classmates were rather empty so they could meet up. And I've never had such an easy birthday party: all I had to do during a few hours is count and count and count the children that were running around to ensure we had no escapists, check if all play was safe so we didn't need first aid and then keep the catering going. Easy and loads of fun for everyone.
