A family communion party

September is the new May.  Whereas May is the typical month of children's communions and formal spring celebrations and family gatherings, everybody is now catching up in September now that the covid measures have been mostly released.  My Facebook fills with proud parents posting their children's communion, and also our agenda has some booked.

Last weekend it was Jan's godchild who got to celebrate his Confirmation with 1,5 year delay.  We managed to escape Leuven despite the ongoing traffic measures and drove up early last Sunday all dressed up for a nice day of family celebration.

We profited from the sun that we missed all summer to pose for multiple family pictures.

Later on we gather with a larger family and friends of my inlaws for a large lunch in a restaurant where the children goofed around...or showed off their digital identity.

At the end of the day we chilled with some more food and drinks and the children goofed a bit more in the sun :).
