We keep on turning #wedraaiendoor: Nicola Piova - La vita e bella

Each Tuesday and Thursday Anne from Satur9's World  play a musical pingpong game where we choose a new music song based on each other's previous choice by association of a name, style, lyric, style, location or whatever crosses in our mind.  We never know what the next song will be chosen and are forced to explore beyond our comfort zone due to each other's choices.

Wow, Anne's choice of Bella Ciao gave me a melancholic feeling.  Oh wow, the images of Casa Del Papel...knowing what will happen later on...heavy stuff. Beautiful stuff.   (ha, fun to discover Anne is also a Casa Del Papel fan). 

Bella Ciao...such a beautiful but loaded song.  It gave me images of partizans fighting for freedom, from goodbyes, lost loves and lost lives...

I thought of soldiers, of lost lives, of goodbyes, of Italian drama and came up with these potential choices:

• Andrea Bocelli + Sarah Brightman : A time to say goodbye
• Laura Pausini : La solitudine

Completely a different type of choice is the crazy energetic Shantel with Disco Partizano.

In the end I choose for La vita e bella, which captured my mood after Bella Ciao best.  Beautiful music just on its own, just like Bella Ciao.  But so much harder if you know the movie .
