Thaw fog

"Dooimist" or thaw fog is a meteorological phenomenon I only discovered in the last decade in the east of Belgium.  When there's snow on the fields and the temperatures rise above the freezing threshold...the snow melts, but the landscape gets covered in a deep, resistant fog. 

So while the magical winter landscape fades away, the air adds salt in the wound.  The snow becomes slush, becomes dirty, and the universe hides it in shame.  Blue Monday in January?  Well there's grey Saturday as well.  The perfect excuse to not do much.
