Summer impressions

The red kite circles the valley
with wide open wings
floating on the hot air
in big circles
while praying
for any mice in the field

The heat and drought
made the trails dusty
while I can smell the summer dust
The smell of fields after the first summer rain is famous
but I love the smell of heated, dusty fields as well. 

At the side there are colourful flowers
showing their beauty
not caring the fact that they are categorized as weeds.
I guess the label of wild flowers suits them better
