In the heathlands of Teut in Limburg
It's a family tradition that we go for New Year rather late to Jan's brother to still read a New Year's letter and spend some time together. Jan's brother had well understood we enjoy a good walk and some beautiful nature, so he took us to the Nature reserve De Teut in Zonhoven, which holds heath lands, woods and sandy roads, including Limburg's natural highest point.
First of all we checked out the Holsteen, a prehistoric rock.
And then we headed for the walk.
The landscape here has gotten some stars as unique viewpoint and I must agree that it was really beautiful out there.
Here we stood on the highest point of Limburg
We enjoyed a nice snack after our walk out before we returned to my brother-in-law who treated us further to an exquisite evening dinner. Great day!
