Mini-golf in the summer
What do you want to do, I asked the boys at the start of our staycation this summer. "Minigolf" was the sole & easy response that I got back.
Well that is a nice summer tradition and one that I find nice to fulfill.
Minigolf de Malmédy
Rue des Arsilliers 3-5, 4960 Malmedy
Is open in school vacations or on Wednesday afternoons and weekends if the weather is good. The mini-golf got renewed last year so we had to try out the new sets. Here you are strictly not allowed to step on the games. But it all looks nice and is now better levelled than the old runs in the previous years.
I like it here as it's adjacent to a big playground with a sanitary block and a cafeteria by the city, all at very reasonable prices.

Hole in 1!
Heist aan zee
Just behind the sea promenade we also discovered a mini-golf in between a hilly slope and some bushes in the midst of the Heist villa's.
For drinks or sanitary stops you need to help yourself at the Zeedijk though. But fun and nice mini-golf with a fitting sea theme.

Town square in Butgenbach
Another traditional stop in the summer is the central square next to the church in Butgenbach. Similar as the town park of Malmédy, this mini-golf is open by the city on weekends and vacation days and is next to a nice big playground and has nearby public toilets.
The mini-golf starts to show area's that are worn out and not so well levelled anymore. But we just play for fun so it doesn't bother us at all.
And what I like the most: just across a car free street is the lovely terrace from the hotel-restaurant Butgenbacher Hof where I love to end with a nice drink in the sun.

Do you have nice mini-golf recommendations for us for next summer?
