Meeting Anne - Saturnein
Anne and I probably read each other blogs for well over 5 years now, and since 2020 we play a musical game together on our blogs. As a result, we chat over music, our travels and random stuff back and forth.
We both live on the other side of the country. Anne always seems on the go in their camper in recent years and I have a full agenda. And we both strongly introverts that value silent time alone. As a result, we talked for 4 years but never suggested planning meeting each other. But in recent years I spot Anne in Deinze very often, which is my hometown. So it feels probably we might run into each once. And therefore we started checking our agenda's and see if we could meet-up once.
The end of November we succeeded: before I had lunch with my family, and before she left in her camper for some fun weekend adventures again, we found each other downtown Deinze to go for a coffee together.
It was nice to connect and put a voice and real face to a digital friend. In a way it's a bit awkward to meet after all those years and yet also strangely familiar, as I have noticed before when meeting blogging friends. Very quickly conversations hit a deeper level as we already know each other quite well.
Nice meeting you Anne, I urgently need to pick a new song for our #wedraaiendoor series and let's try to grab another coffee together in 2025!!
