We keep on turning #wedraaiendoor: Band Aid - Do they know it's Christmas time (1984 version)

Each Tuesday and Thursday Anne from Satur9's World and myself, play a musical pingpong game where we choose a new music song based on each other's previous choice by association of a name, style, lyric, style, location or whatever crosses in our mind. We never know what the next song will be chosen and are forced to explore beyond our comfort zone due to each other's choices.

Anne has given me a Hot Canadian to find a connection. I had the full intention to search for some other Canadians.  Arcade Fire would be a could follow-up.

But then my mind stuck at the Bandages. Because a bandage is a band-aid to me.  And it's Christmas time. Seriously, fate has chosen my connection. What else could I chose but Band Aid??!?

Currently there's some controversion with the new version , where Ed Sheeran commented on. I do agree with him that the lyrics and vision of Band Aid is quite paternalistic and probably doesn't fit our times anymore.  And the new version doesn't sound very good.

But the 1984 version...well that's just a classic and ...It's Christmas time!
