Wow, a wauw (red kite) and the sparrows nest
In the east of Belgium we share the valley and village with a couple of red kites (in Dutch pronounced as wow) or more. One day I saw 6 of them flying out.
They circle all the time over the fields in their majesty and they peep loud squeeks when they do. I love observing them and try to get good shots of them... The first one is the best I guess.

It's not only the big birds that are fun. For the 2nd year in a row sparrows have created their nest under our roof. Already early in spring we hear a lot of tsjilping and then in summer, there's a nervous mom and dad that fly in and out, usually with a lot of noise and protest or welcoming from the offspring still in the nest. I only manage to get really blurry pictures of the parents.
It's fun to sit and observe and talk to them and explain we'll be just there shortly and then they can have the garden back in solitude.
