We keep on turning #wedraaiendoor: Sarah Mc Lachlan - Song for my father
Each Tuesday and Thursday Anne from Satur9's World and myself, play a musical pingpong game where we choose a new music song based on each other's previous choice by association of a name, style, lyric, style, location or whatever crosses in our mind. We never know what the next song will be chosen and are forced to explore beyond our comfort zone due to each other's choices.
You can find our in the mean time long and fun playlist on Spotify and op Youtube. Subscribing to it is possible!
I took Anne to the most norther regions of Canada last week and she stayed in the country. She chose an iconic Canadian song and a tribute for a Canadian writer. Now that we are in Canada I wanted to stay. So I listened to Alanis Morissette (ooooh the nostalgia of my exchange year) and Arcade Fire. But Sarah Mc Lachlan has a Mac in her name, just like the tribute for Hugh Mac Lennan.
Sarah Mc Lachlan has quite another style that conflicted a bit with The Tragically Hip. But she has a tribute song for her father. I didn't know it but it grew on me.
