A new school year started
Well that first week is a wrap. On Tuesday morning, they both left to school well on time. For neither of them it was a big change as they just advanced in the school they attended last year (with largely/partially) the same friend group.
Beertje had set the goal to arrive as first child in school which he succeeded easily...it took another 20 minutes before another child arrived. His school really doesn't have a lot of children that come early. I fear though he will need to go early much more than in the past due to our work commutes lately.
Kabouter walked independently to the city center as he did last year. He had to make a selection of subjects (Latin and Greek as majors) which means that his class group of last year is split up as they made a lot of different choices. But he'll still cross his friend group. He complained that his schedule and mixing of class groups depending on the subjects seemed complex but for the rest he was happy and fine.
In the evenings the hobbies picked up again which gives me a rush and lots of planning to feed them in time. It'll take time to set the rhythm again as we had more changes and starts this week but I'll write that later on.
