To top it off, it was one of the few weeks a year that I travel for my work as well.
So it was a week of
- suitcases,
- goodbye's
- facetime conversations
- calculated breaks taking into account hour differences
- a fridge full of a week's worth of meals cooked beforehand (and the kids proclaiming they didn't like the food just before you leave)
- leaving a house with replenished toilet paper, fresh towels and sheets, refilled coffee machined, empty garbage, a key at the neighbours, ....
- pages full of notes left to the in-law parents stepping in for help and the babysits
- happy reunions
- family visits
- friends visits to get some adult conversations
- ...
And now we are all back together, some presents got unpacked,
and we are all drop death tired and ready to enjoy our reunion with a long night of sleep...so we hope.
