The big beguinage of Leuven lighted up with candles for wintertime in Leuven

I am very fortunate to live in a historic city with Unesco World heritage. The beguinages in Leuven are true wonderful oases of beauty and tranquility.  The Men of the Year (also cultural Unesco heritage btw) light the entire beguinage with 1000s of candles each time at the start of wintertime. It adds a fairytale touch to the streets.

We took the advantage for an evening walk through the streets and enjoy the atmosphere.
