A treehut for the summer

A year ago Kabouter started making plans with his friends to build a tree hut. Their parents had to realise their dream in a tree in the park.  He was very disappointed when we broke the news that you're not supposed to start building in the park.

But then Jan made some promises for maybe this summer so Kabouter was overly excited at June 21st because it was summer and he'd get a tree hut!!! 

With  some more research it was probably easier to buy a building package and set it up next to our tree. We figured it would take multiple weekends in the summer and maybe be ready for use end of August.

And then they got going yesterday and continued this morning.... And the enthusiasm of the boys was unstoppable and they built until after bed-time.
