Burglary in the office

Since September, we go to the office one or 2 days a week but early October we had a bad surprise upon arrival. Fortunately I never arrive early and had gotten the info via telephone that there had been a burglarly.   Indeed the office block in which we rent some offices had been visited at night and every room had been checked out in each company on each floor.  

Since we have a policy to work with laptops that must be taken home, we only lost our stack of spare and broken laptops from the IT closet, we lost our spare masks from the HR closet , a microwave (one out of 2) from the kitchen en the locker that held the keys of all office doors.  The latter is quite ironically as they've broken every single door and every locked closet. 

On the other hand they left untouched all desks with our screens, printers, docking stations etc. So the few people present could work without issue. 

Oh well, lots of administration (not for me thankfully) and material damage (mostly for the building owner) and a lost hour in my day to photograph all damage but all in all it's not been too bad for us.  A few extra days of mandatory homeworking until new doors have been installed in the building. 

By the end of the day all of a sudden an officer from the police labo arrived to search for prints. He was rather frustrated to learn the burglarly had been reported early morning with police present and he was only called to the scene early evening.... Yep, beats me.  Since we had not been numerous in the office, I showed him to rooms where none of us had worked or cleaned up, but there weren't any prints at first sight.
