We keep on turning #we draaien door: Laïs - La Plus Belle de Céans

Each Tuesday and Thursday Anne from Satur9's World  play a musical pingpong game where we choose a new music song based on each other's previous choice by association of a name, style, lyric, style, location or whatever crosses in our mind.  We never know what the next song will be chosen and are forced to explore beyond our comfort zone due to each other's choices.

Dolly Parton.  How fun how this music ping pong can bring us to corners of the music world we probably would have not visited spontaneously.  I know the song obviously and quite enjoy it, which is not the case for all Dolly Parton music.  It's thanks to Anne's post that I discover the lyrics and know she is singing about a amourous rival. Good to know it is a true story and that Dolly's marriage survives since many decades.

Hmm what to choose now. I sort of liked Miley Cyrus's cover of this song as well but it would be silly to bring a cover as follow-up . Did you know that Miley Cyrus is a goddaughter of Dolly Parton? I discovered it now.   Hmm the obvious nine-to-five is silly too.

I'm not into country music at all so I skipped that path.

Dolly...Dolly is a sheep. That's the path I explored. And rather quickly I thought of Laïs and their fun "La plu belle de Céans where the lady shepherd has take the sheep out of the field.  And I know Anne's going to curse now with this folk song, but I know I always put this one on repeat as I find it very happy, energetic and contagious

Heel juist, ik heb het niet op folk. Er zijn uitzonderingen, maar Laïs behoort daar wel toe. Nu is de uitdaging een mooie opvolger zoeken :-)
