Count your blessings - September 2021

  • A great modern spacey and light new office
  • Having lunch with a group of colleagues again and having trivial conversations again on who is eating which leftovers, recipes and the weather.  That felt good.
  • Observing all my new hires mingling with colleagues, smiling and having conversations
  • Spotting a deer in the field on my way to the office
  • Finding a parking spot easily when coming home
  • Summer temperatures (even when I have to work)
  • Being for the great warm school that my children can attend.
  • Having a fun carting event with some colleagues
  • Leaving colleagues saying goodbye to you with some nice feedback
  • Chan Chan of the Buena Vista Social Club
  • Friends that offer a bit of parking space during the weeks that we live in a big traffic free zone due to the World Championship in our area
  • Meeting American friends again after 1,5 year
  • Leuven transforming in a crazy fun busy festival city during the World Championships cycling
(and to my surprise enjoying the crowds )
  • Races...races and more races in front of our door and having even better view than all those VIP's. Seriously, watching the UCI World Championships from the best possible spot.
  • Great fresh home-made soup
  • Oh did I already mention the World Championships ;)...watching them with our American cycling fan friends made it ever more special
  • Listening to our friends playing viola and seeing Kabouter try
  • Listening to Kabouter having long conversations with our friends in a mixture of Dutch & English words and gestures
  • Going out to restaurants
  • Surviving this busy September month much better than anticipated and feared in August
  • Feeling stronger and a bit less vulnerable to stress than the previous months

This is a monthly list of simple things in my life that make me happy or that make me smile.
As the world often seems full of negativity and disaster, I want to pay attention to these small things that make me happy in my daily life and be grateful for them. You can find all of them via this link

Enthousiasme is aanstekelijk.

Chapeau! Ik vind dat knap :-)
