Our Christmas vacation

After a great social but tiring December month, we started the vacation week at the doctor's office.  I took the appointment for the children that had a frightening cough that drove me nuts. They literally coughed every 10 seconds.  But by the time we were in the waiting room Beertje was already crying for a while for his painful ear. Yep, why not add an ear infection to start.

We dragged a bag of medication along for over a week but by New Year we switched to me and Jan to start sniffing with teary eyes and painful sinusses.  Seriously, breathing can be such a tiring job.

Concentrating on breathing and keeping my eyes open

Where to keep putting the non-stop dirty tissues (if you don't camp next to the garbage)

To add to it, I also bruised my knee impressively by sledging and an hour later I manage to cut my finger.  That was worth quite a bit of cursing but didn't kill my mood further too much.

This period was also one of way too much food.  So good, but the quantity was an attack on my stomach.

It was a time of pouring rain and grey clouds and fog, but it got alternated by 2 days of sun and also some good old genuine winter (at least in the east of Belgium)

spot the fox below here in our garden!

It was a time of cosy gatherings and get togethers

We travelled

I had a little bit time to just chill, hang, and spend in nature.  Too little time for all of that, next year I need to ensure more rest!

After some movies, an early return to work already , it was time for Epiphany singing and a judo tournament and time to get ready for a return to work for all of us or a return to school.  And by that time our colds and illnesses finally seem to have improved.

ja inderdaad. De volgende keer moet ik echt wel meer rust incalculeren. Ik loop nog steeds doodop en verkouden en sleep me door de dagen momenteel.
