Sinterklaas
He came from Spain on November 19th and returned back home yesterday. A bit to my surprise there was still quite some Sinterklaas excitement for Beertje, while we did lots of whispering with Kabouter with a wink now and then.
First Sinterklaas comes to Belgium broadcast on national tv...always nice.
At the end of November we drove to Jan's work where Sinterklaas welcomed all families in a nice Sinterklaas town. We were impressed but all the long term colleagues weren't as it was apparently only a fraction of previous years. I thought it was cosy and the boys had fun training a bit for throwing parcels through the chimney and running on the roof, with the Piets.
Of course Sinterklaas also visited swimming classes, judo practise and the school. For the latter however Beertje is at the age that they go on an excursion with the oldest grades while Sinterklaas visits the little toddlers undisturbed by the "big kids" in school. Upon their return they find presents in the class.
We even got some Sinterklaas candy sent over from a Canadian relative by the post. Uber cool!
And then it's December 5th. Rather last minute there had to be some drawings. I was proud that I had thought of buying some fresh carrots for the horse . So we were totally ready for a nightly visit.
The morning did not disappoint.
And now it's playtime
