We were back in De Panne

After our pleasant stay in the summer of 2025, we returned for the 2nd week of August to De Panne at the southernwest Belgian coast in the same apartment. 

Jan drove up with the loaded car in the morning to pick up the key in time while the kids were still at a daycamp. We took the train later on, which wasn't as boring and long at all as I feared a bit.  It was very nice to arrive back at familiar territory and pick up our routines from the year before. 

We spent a week strolling markets, having dinner out at the beach side , eating ice creams,  watching sunsets, watched evening tv in that very comfortable sofa again, ...

Sunsets at the beach are the summum of vacation

But mostly we just hang out for hours and hours at the beach doing exactly nothing special at all. Just perfect.
