Fete Mediéval at Reinhardstein castle

The last weekend of July there are Medieval festivities in the castle of Reinhardstein. This (unscientifically) renovated medieval fortress in the woods hosts knight camp reenactments, troubadour musicians, tours in the castle, arrow shooting contests, flag waving groups etc. 

But mainly it's the place where the children could get additional swords and shields for their "knight" games! The fact that they could get painted with a dragon on their face was a bonus.
