With the boys at Beleuvenissen again
Reunited with our boys from scouting camp, we gave Beleuvenissen another chance. A lot of Dutch/Flemish artists that don't excite me too much on the billboards but why not head downtown and stroll by and give it a chance.
We started off with some Mexican food and this time I made sure I didn't eat myself sick again like the week before.
We headed to the Old Market Square were we positioned ourselves for the start of Jaap Resema. I guess it was the first time for the boys so they were curious and excited.
Jaap turned out to be a sympathetic nice singer but not a hit machine to me, although he tried to sing some Flemish covers for his local public.
We then headed to the Big Market Square where Gary Hagger was performing in front of the city hall. The crowd was considerable smaller than for Jaap Resema and the tune accuracy wasn't so perfect either. But he compensated with show and energy and bringing big hits that were contagious.
Beertje really had enough and was tired and wanted to go to bed, so we left but passed the Hogeschoolplein. Dorpsklap was performing: much to my surprise I noticed that this is the current band in which Ronny Mosuse is performing. They bring with other Belgian mucisians a lot of Belpop classics which was a lot of fun. We enjoyed a few more songs before Beertje really directed us to bed.
Well at least this time we really saw performances and that seems like years ago. Great that we come at the age that we can come out with the boys, even it if its a bit later. I was the one whining with fatigue the next day though. Ouch, at our age ;).
