Made in Belgium: Yong Yello

There is a lot of hip hop in Belgium. I can enjoy some but very quickly I find it monotoneous.  But Yong Yello is different.   His rap has a strong attention to melodies. As a result I can bear a lot more of it or it feels quite fresh if one of his songs comes by in a playlist or on the radio.  Interesting angle in his texts too.

Yong Yello is one of the finalists of Stu Bru's "Nieuwe lichting" this year and we are expecting his first album any moment now.  I'm curious. There's clearly a lot of talent available.
