Around Reinhardstein on top of the the valleys Baheyon and the Warche near Ovifat

Another weekend in November, another new walk to be tested.  The new map of walks in Waimes and Malmedy showed us a loop around Ovifat and Reinhardstein that we hadn't done in that exact order even though we are often in the area.

The last time I was around Reinhardstein I went up and down the steep valley but guessed it was still too hard for the children.  This walk started in the village from Ovifat and stayed on top of the valley of Baheyon and the Warche so this was more feasible.

While the rest of Belgium (in the west) was faced with rain already ,we still enjoyed a blue sky and headed off the village roads early in the morning to beat the approaching storm. Quickly we were off in the fields, then the woods and on top of the valley we walked towards the castle to return over familiar roads back to Ovifat.

On top of the confluence of the Baheyon and the Warche, looking out at the trails I took last time across the valley.  I am always impressed by the steepness of these valleys behind the powerdam of Robertville.
