Kabouter's elementary school "graduation"
Kabouter's elementary school career ended yesterday, but we celebrated his graduation a year before in a joint ceremony for toddler's class 3 and the 6th grade of elementary school.
We were all invited in the school on Monday evening for a reception and were treated to speeches, thank you messages, (funny) dances and the hand-out of each one's school diploma. All of this in an accessible spontaneous warm atmosphere without unnecessary pump & circumstance as we are used to in this school. An evening filled with emotions of pride, thankfulness, joy & laughter and connection.

We enjoyed some toddler dances and the excellent line dancing skills of the 6th grade (which apparently had been their stress break all year long). Afterwards we were treated as a bonus to the most hilarious silly "waterballet" performance of the boys . I had to laugh so hard.
Then it was truly time for the proclamation...
And then we had to finish packing for their multi-day school trip to the forest to conclude the year.

The evening
We took shelter for the heat in the new building where we gathered with all teachers, K3 and L6 children and parents. The oldest guided the little ones into the hall under big applause.
Teachers, parents and some assertive children took the microphone for some planned and unplanned thank you speeches to pay attention to this milestone and the journey that led to this moment.
