A busy April 23rd

There's some days that all seems to happen and be planned at the same moment.  April 23rd was one of those days. For months already I knew our regular babysit was excused to pick up Beertje from school due to her school trip. No issue, I have plenty flexible time at hand so I would pick him up.

Yet a bit later we got invitations for Kabouter's school for study option information sessions and a parent-teacher moment. And then they invited me for the local network event of the outplacement program that I'm participating in.  Whoa... to be at 3 places at the same time!

Anyway, picking up Beertje in the school garden was even. We even managed to spot some weird views : a little truck flying through the air at the school they are renovating behind our house and a bit later the city departments were driving around with the palm trees they keep in the botanical garden greenhouses in winter but that are decorating the city center in summer.

Fortunately the boys now come at an age they can independently spend some time at home until Jan would get home so I left them behind to race to the outplacement reception to show my face a short moment, get some quick conversations
...and then leave again to rush through the city center towards Kabouter's school at the Old Market.

After some very schooly moments (ugh why can't schools sometimes explain something a bit less educational to adults?) and apparently talking to some content teachers, I could enjoy the sunset on my walk home.

While I grabbed some dessert as I had not had the time to have a meal at all, the boys went to bed late. We tested and resetted a webcam upstairs and that generated this lovely grin by Beertje.  And then it was bedtime for me too.
