Visiting the Rotary stand at Bondgenieten

After some great sunny days mid-May turned very whimsical and colder with lots of showers. Not ideal when Jan with the local Rotary club would open a beach bar on the main shopping street during the Bondgenieten event.  I feared they would be totally rained out (at times they were) and would not see anyone.

But I checked the rain radar after judo training and the boys really wanted to go downtown so off we went.  I don't need much good excuses to go and have a nice drink for charity.  Muc to my surprise there was nevertheless a nice crowd enjoying the night shopping.  

I'm glad for the club that sales weren't totally off and next year surely will be better weather.
