Park festival

In the same weekend as Rock Werchter and our local Lemme Live festival is also the Park festival at the Park abbey.  
It's so funny since the weekend before Jan already wanted to go see some concerts so we all walked over to a very silent abbey location, only to realise we were a week early . Haha


The week after we were all pretty tired to be honest but I thought it would be worth wile to walk over anyhow to catch some fresh air. Obviously we arrived when there were no concerts on the main stage and to be honest...the one in the herbal garden was whiney and annoying as hell.  We had hoped to have a beer of the local brewery but they had no stand.  This festival is organized by the city of Leuven (who moved it from the other abbey I believe, a few years ago) with official AB inbev drinks stands etc and none of the local abbey organisations around that are usually there (the abbey brewery, the local farm with farm products, ....).  Pfff. Clearly the city organization doesn't mix with the abbey organizations.  

We went back home to eat a local farm ice cream there, but later on I returned another time to at least see one bit of music. And this was a tango group that was very lovely to watch.
