The great beguinage of Leuven

Saturday Kabouter joined me to catch some fresh air this weekend and I took him for a stroll through the nearby beguinage, Unesco world heritage.   

we were intrigued by this sign above the door...it turns out to be the inn from the neighbourhood dating back from the first half of this century when the beguinage was still a lively working-class district before it got sanitized.
