Puerto de Mogan

We've been 4 times to Puerto de Mogàn now in Gran Canaria so it feels like coming home.  We know the supermarket next to the hotel, some nice restaurants (but still haven't tried all of them!) ,  we've walked that pedestrian boulevard from the hotel(s) to the beach & village a hundred times.  I joked beforehand that it's less stressful to go somewhere where you already know the pharmacy and doctor too... Karma is a bitch because now I also know where the regional 24h/24h GP post and the night pharmacy on duty system, but that's another story. At least next time I won't even stress any more from a crying sick child in the middle of the night in your hotel room.

Anyway, I still like the town. It's not that special...on the contrary, the long narrow valley with tourist flats and hotels isn't very nice.  The harbour is very pitoresque but not historic.

This year it was the first time that I strolled up the steep narrow streets of the village, to get a feeling of who lives there.

The weekly market all across town
