The first snow
Snow was predicted last weekend and indeed snow started falling on Friday evening in the eastern heights of Belgium. We had planned to go with a friend, so I had to drive as well.
I tried to close off early to stay ahead of the biggest peak of snow but an accident around Liège gave us a nice traffic delay so we climbed up to the Botrange in the midst of wind gusts and snow fall. All in all it seemed reasonable well to drive until the last village where I slid a bit. Yikes. Glad to know the area so well and to only get the heaviest just before arriving home.
And then it was great to enter in a warm home, have dinner with friends and relax and wait until the morning to see to which winterwonderland we woke up. 5 cms...enough to keep us happy and busy
