Dinnerwalk with my sister

My sister and I made a goal to have a sister date once every 3 months, in order to spend a bit more time together.  We went on a walk mid-March together so it was high due time by the end of June to set-up another date.   We both drove to the 3 Fonteinen Park in Vilvoorde in order to each drive half-way. 

We didn't know that there was a local festival hosted in the park and when we drove up and saw all the stewards and parking signs, we feared we'd not find a parking spot , neither access to the park.  We both stopped while on the phone with each other in the residential area nearby ...we both found a parking spot there next to each other and went to check out the situation on foot. Turns out the park was accessible just like normal except for the horse stables that hosted the festival.   After we checked that the brasserie would have dining room for us later on , we went for a stroll through the park together, while catching up. 

It's quite remarkable to have such a nice big park right next the famous viaduct of Vilvoorde that hosts the Brussels ringroad and all its crazy traffic (jams). 

The 3 Fonteinen park is a mixture of a French classical garden near the brasserie and horse stables (and the viaduct...if you know where to look, you can spot it through the trees from the ring road in autumn and winter).  Closer to the canal and the city of Vilvoorde, there's an English garden and stretches of wood and a big playgarden. 

After looping around the park a few times, we sat down inside the brasserie 3 Fonteinen for a dinner together, where we heard the beats of the festival less.
