Sledging from the skihill in Ovifat

After our walk in the frozen woods mid-January, we went to Ski Ovifat where the blue ski hill was open for sledging thanks to the snow canon.  There were hardly people there, as nobody would have assumed on the 14th of January that they were partially open with snow. As a result, we had most of the space to ourselves with a handful other people.

The fog was around in the deep-freezing temperatures, so it was rather cold, but we rented a sledge and the boys all had their go to go down from the blue slope. I chose to cowardly watch and cheer on top of the hill.  Their cheers were warming me for a while  but soon I was cursing the frost while the boys were dying with each climb back up the hill. The lifts were not working.

We went to the chalet to warm up with some drinks and snacks. The chalet was very cosy and modernly renewed, and it was just super to chill there...or rather warm up.  Ha, great place to hang out!  I crossed my fingers for this local community and organization that they'd be able to open up for some good skiing time where the rest of the country would come and fill this place buzzing with activity.   Good to know that in the meantime the ski-hill has been fully open and operational for skiing for 5 days last week/weekend.
